The following teachers offer Dokusan on a regular schedule at the
Chicago Zen Center. They also offer regular Dharma Talks.
Yusan (Jim) Graham started training in Zen in 1990 at the CZC. His first teacher
was Roshi Bodhin Kjolhede. He continued histraining under the
guidance of Sensei Sevan
Ross, starting in 1997, and received permission to teach in 2009.
Yusan speaks fluent French and
is conversant in Spanish.
Elie Jishin Nijm started training in Zen in the late 70s at the CZC.
His first teacher was Roshi Bodhin Kjolhede, the current abbot of the Rochester Zen Center. For fifteen years he trained under the guidance of Sensei Ross until 2010. Elie is ordained in the Three Jewels order and received permission to teach in 2007. Elie is currently completing his koan training with his old teacher, Roshi Kjolhede. Elie works part time as a psychologist.
